Timber Creations is looking for an experienced landscaper, tradesperson - or someone who just loves timber, has experience on the tools, and is ready to learn on the job. This is a unique, hands-on leadership role, joining our team of installers in a full time position.

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:

• Leading the team with the installation of playground elements

• Digging holes for footings

• Concreting and fixing timber elements

• Moving large logs and playground elements

• Looking after your own set of assigned tools and supplies

• Some timber work, including chainsaw adjustments
   

When there are no installations on you will be helping the team at the workshop create custom timber playground pieces. This can include:

• Debarking and sanding timber logs

• Building timber play pieces (training provided)

The successful candidate will have:

• Ability to work with and lead a small team

• Physically fitness and capability to work outside

• Current Working with Children check or ability to obtain this card

• Willingness to learn in a unique role

• High level of attention to detail, keen eye for errors

• Manual driver's licence

Valuable, but non-essential assets:

• A light rigid (LR) truck licence

• Carpentry Skills and Experience

About the Role:

• Negotiable pay rate based on experience - $30+/hr

• Solid 38hr work week

• Working hours are 7am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday 7am to 1pm Friday, staring and finishing the day at the workshop at Somersby - no weekend work
